HandbookHQ is a self-service tool that generates a draft employee handbook from information you provide. By placing an order you agree to these Terms.
HandbookHQ is not a law firm, does not employ attorneys on your behalf, and does not provide legal or HR advice. The handbook is produced automatically by an AI language model according to instructions we have written. It is a starting point intended to be reviewed, edited and approved by you and by a qualified employment attorney or HR professional in your state before use. Employment laws differ by state and locality and change frequently. We make no representation that any document complies with any statute, regulation or ordinance, or that it will protect you in any dispute.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit, for reviewing every section before use, for confirming state-specific requirements with the appropriate authority, and for how the handbook is applied to your employees. You must be authorized to purchase on behalf of the business named in the order.
Upon payment you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, edit and distribute the generated handbook within the business named in the order. You may not resell it or offer it as a competing service.
Prices are in US dollars and charged via Stripe. Core and Complete handbooks are one-time purchases. Complete + Annual Refresh charges $129 at checkout and then $39 per year beginning twelve months later; cancel any time by emailing support@gethandbookhq.com or through the link in your Stripe receipt. Cancellation stops future charges and future refresh links; access to handbooks already generated remains. The handbook is delivered on a web page linked from the checkout confirmation and, where email delivery succeeds, by email. Generation may take several minutes.

The service and documents are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, HandbookHQ disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental damages, including losses arising from an employment claim, agency action, or dispute with an employee.
Do not submit content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to share. We may refuse or cancel orders that abuse the service.
We may update these Terms; the version posted at the time of your order applies to that order.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maine, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at the support email and allow 30 days to resolve it.
